Derek Zoolander inspires design

If you’re a fan of the Derek Zoolander and good vodka, then this combination is going to prove irresistible for you. In honour of the Zoolander sequel coming out this year, Cîroc has released its grape-based ultra premium vodka in a gorgeous blue bottle, labelled — what else — Blue Steel. For the uninitiated, “Blue Steel” is the name of one of the iconic “looks” or poses created by Derek Zoolander (as played by Ben Stiller).

The Blue Steel bottle has sleek lines and an electric hue of blue, and has been described by those in the tipple industry as being “ridiculously good-looking” — yet another nod to its inspiration, perhaps It has been designed by celebrity fashion photographer Mario Testino and will only be available as a limited edition.

Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson will reprise their roles in Zoolander 2, which will release in theatres all over the world in February. Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch is also part of the cast.
