Karan Singh Tanwar: Charges by AAP baseless

New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) vice- chairman and senior Delhi BJP leader Karan Singh Tanwar on Saturday said that all the allegations on him by Aam Adami Party (AAP) are baseless, false, frivolous and are politically-motivated.

AAP has accused Mr Tanwar for being complicit in the murder of NDMC law officer M.M. Khan. Mr Tanwar said that it is very shameful that a heinous crime has been committed and instead to offering their condolences, the AAP is making it a political issue for gaining political mileage.

“By virtue of being a public representative, almost 200-300 people visit me daily. I write letters to concerned authorities,” said the NDMC vice-chairman , adding that on May 6, 2016, some people visited him in his office and apprised him that estate officer is not able to provide justice to them. They alleged that the estate office is under pressure of senior officers is not able to give any fair and unbiased decision in the said matter and it had been delayed since long.

Mr Tanwar claimed that he has no where written or submitted before the lieutenant-governor to favour the concerned hotel in his letter.

“As a matter of fact, the LG is the appointing authority so he was only approached for a unbiased and impartial investigation,” he said. Mr Tanwar further said that the allegations by AAP are baseless and frivolous. “I have never seen the concerned hotel,” added the NDMC vice- chairman.
