Leading electric vehicle manufacturer Lohia Auto Industries has started an e-rickshaw service exclusively for women during the ongoing odd-even scheme in the city. The service is aimed to encourage women to leave their cars at home and contribute their share in bringing down pollution. Even, other women who use public transport will also find it convenient for a hassle-free last-mile connectivity to reach nearest Metro station or home.

This service is available in most crowded Metro stations of North Delhi, including Rithala, Rohini East, Rohini West and Pitampura, to provide last-mile connectivity to women and girls absolutely free. These e-rickshaws will be run exclusively for women.

“During these 15 days, it’s really a Herculean task to reach Metro stations quickly or after getting down from a bus or Metro, one needs to look for an auto or other modes of transport, then bargain and settle for whatever price the autodrivers ask. Keeping in mind Monday was first working day of the odd-even scheme, the situation will be even worse , hence service like Lohia e-rickshaws will be a great help for women,” Lohia Auto Industries Ltd. CEO said.
