Man killed, 3 injured in mishap

A man died and three others, including a minor girl, sustained burn injuries when a cable accidentally touched a high tension line causing a blast in Northeast Delhi’s Nand Nagri area on Wednesday afternoon.

All the injured were taken to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital where Prakash, 25, was declared “brought dead,” while the injured are undergoing treatment.

The injured have been identified as Rohit, 18, Harikishen, 26, and Dolly, 10. The police informed that one of the injured, Rohit, was critical while others were out of danger.

The incident happened when Prakash, who worked with a cable operator in Sundar Nagri, had gone to install cable connection in two houses of the area. Accidentally, the cable wire touched a high-tension line passing over the house and a blast occurred. Prakash, who was holding the wire, got electrocuted.
