A man with learning disabilities was nabbed by Air Force personnel and a team of the Uttar Pradesh police during a mock security drill organised by the Air Force at the Hindon Air Force Station.

Acting on reports that three unidentified men had been seen entering the Hindon airbase, security officials went into a tizzy and launched search operations that continued for the whole night. The drill forced the IAF to shut down two schools located within the premises of the Hindon Air Force Station.

The police said that a person named Sonu Kumar, allegedly mentally unstable, had entered the Hindon airbase on Thursday night. However, he was apprehended by the security staff after a brief chase.

Although there was no threat, the Air Force officials undertook combing operations of the entire premises. Sources in the Air Force said that there were intelligence inputs of a possible Pathankot-style attack at the base.
