Hospital staff attempts to rape medico

An employee of a private hospital in Ghaziabad allegedly attempted rape on a medical student who was on night shift, the police said on Monday.

The incident took late on Sunday night when the student, who is pursuing MD, was sleeping in the rest room of the hospital under Siani Gate police station.

A sanitation employee, identified as Ravi, stealthily entered into the room from an open window and attempted to rape her, police inspector Ashok Shishodia said.

As the student screamed for help, other staff members rushed to the retiring room. The assailant, however, jumped off the room and fled.
