A 13-year-old girl who stepped out of her house to get water was brutally raped and dumped near a railway track in southeast Delhi’s Pul Prahladpur area. In the early hours of May 18, locals spotted the victim lying unconscious near the railway track and informed the police. The accused has been arrested.

The girl, an orphan, is admitted in AIIMS and her condition is stated to be critical. She lives with her maternal aunt at a village near Pul Prahladpur and was reported missing on May 17 a senior police official said.
