Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia on Friday reviewed the flood preparedness of various departments and civic agencies in view of the impending monsoon season in the national capital.

Mr Sisodia said, “The booklet contains telephone numbers of the control rooms, details of flood control machinery, scheme of operation like danger level and flashing of warnings, list of vulnerable points, duties of various departments and other agencies, along with important information about river embankments, operation of regulators etc.”

The deputy CM stressed that a unified helpline number should be installed for receiving information of waterlogging and other flood situations from public for rapid response.

Mr Sisodia suggested the need of coordinated efforts among various civic agencies to prevent waterlogging during the monsoon season.
