Engaging-with-Pakistan has been one of Delhiās big growth industries over the past 15 years. Apart from domestic investment (both from the public and private sectors), it has attracted generous quantities of foreign direct investment, despite not having much to show by way of tangible returns.
There is a slow but systematic attempt to change Indiaās name from Bharat to Hindustan ā playing up the word āHinduā in Hindustan and trying to repackage it as the abode of the Hindus. B.R. Ambedkar and his team that drafted the Constitution of India consciously avoided the term āHindustanā as they could foresee its implications in a land that takes pride in its diversity.
