New Delhi: The Supreme Court of India on Friday ruled that the BCCI's Annual General Meeting in Chennai on September 29 can go ahead and the president-in-exile N Srinivasan can fight the elections. However, the court also mentioned that if Srinivasan is elected, he can’t take charge till the case of his son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan, inovlved in IPL spot-fixing scandal, is pending in the court. The Supreme Court was hearing a plea filed by the Cricket Association of Bihar seeking to prevent a desperate Srinivasan from contesting the Board elections for the president's post. The Cricket Association of Bihar was also seeking an interim ban to prevent Srinivasan from being a member of any BCCI committee.
