The 46-year-old Srinath, who shared the dressing room with Kumble for several seasons added, “It’s a good decision from the Cricket Advisory Committee and very happy news for me.”
Having played with Kumble for the country and state, Srinath said the Bengaluru-born spinner loved challenges and will be successful. “As a player and captain he loved challenges. I’m confident that he will be successful as a coach too,” he concluded.
