: A tail-ender sticking to his wicket, adding bonus runs, is frustrating for any opposition. There have been many such instances in cricket when bowlers stunned with their batting performances. In the age of Twenty20 cricket, let’s have a look at bowlers who hold spotless batting records.

Jason Gillespie: The Australian fast bowler hit an unbeaten 201 against Bangladesh in Chittagong in 2006. He shared a 320-run partnership with Michael Hussey to guide Australia to 581. He batted for 574 minutes and faced 425 deliveries. He is the only nightwatchman to score a double century.

Shane Warne: The prolific leg-spinner scored 3,154 runs in 145 Test matches. His highest score was 99 against New Zealand in 2001. He had the ability to hit the ball out of the park. One bowler who has more than 3,000 runs in whites.

Ashton Agar: He made his debut in the Ashes in 2013 and ended up being the only number 11 to score 98; immense batting abilities despite being a slow left-arm bowler.

Wasim Akram: The Sultan of swing smashed 257 against Zimbabwe in 1996; he hit 12 sixes and 22 fours in the innings which came off 363 balls. The only number eight to score a double hundred.

Ajit Agarkar: The former India fast bowler earned the sobriquet ‘Bombay Duck’ after his series of ducks against Australia in 1999-2000. But he took an about turn and smashed the fastest half-century ever by an Indian in ODI cricket – off 21 balls against Zimbabwe in Rajkot in 2001. He ended up with 67 off 25 balls.
