The company's share in the overall motorcycle market in India expanded to 8 per cent after the launch of the motorcycle and it intends to achieve 10-12 per cent share in the next two years.

TVS Motors relaunched their popular bike model TVS Victor 9 months back. Now, the motorcycle has crossed the one lakh sales mark, which is quite impressive for a new motorcycle. Victor was earlier one of the best selling TVS motorcycles and a significant contributor in their sales in 2001. It’s interesting to note that when TVS victor was launched back in 2001, it took 18 months for the sale of TVS Victor to cross 400,000 unit mark, with 1 lakh added in the eighteenth month.

The company's shares expanded to 8 per cent in the overall motorcycle market in India after the launch of the motorcycle and the company plans to achieve 10-12 per cent share in the next 2 years. Apart from its popularity, the reason behind the success of the motorcycle goes to its built quality, performance and fuel efficiency.

Speaking on the success of the new TVS Victor, Arun Siddharth, vice president, marketing (motorcycles), TVS Motor Company, said, “We are delighted to have 1 lakh families join us on this journey to spread smiles. It is our endeavour to add more members to the growing family of TVS Victor and we are confident that we will build on the growth momentum.”

The company continues to position the Victor as a family bike that is an ideal combination of decent styling, sufficient performance and better comfort than a regular commuter. Powering the bike is an advanced 110cc, 3-valve, Ecothrust engine that comes mated to a 4-speed transmission. The powertrain delivers 9.6PS of power at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 9.4Nm at 6,000rpm. Along with a satisfactory performance, the bike claims to return a fuel economy of 76kmpl under standard TVS test conditions. It faces major competition from its peer TVS Sport and Honda Livo which also host a 100 cc engine and give a similar mileage figure.

The TVS Victor has been made available in two trims, drum brake variant for Rs 50,715 (ex-showroom, Delhi) along with a disc brake variant with a front disc brake for Rs 2,000 extra. The bike comes in six colours with attractive contrasting graphics including Blissful Blue, Generous Grey, Beatific Black Silver, Serene Silver, Balanced Black Red and Restful Red.
