LG sees big rise in festival sales

With consumers having more money in form of Pay Commission award, consumer durable major LG is targeting a 40 per cent increase in sales in the upcoming festive season.

“We have registered an increased sales in all segments. We are expecting higher sales in the current festive season beginning from September to November, due to Pay Panel award and good monsoon,” said Mr Sanjeev Agarwal, director-sales (south and west), LG Electronics India.

After launching premium products such as OLED TV, front and top load washing machine, six door refrigerator and premium dual smartphone here, Mr Agarwal said LG expects 40 per cent growth in sales during the festive season.

Talking about LG’s initiatives, Mr Gireesan Gopi, regional business head (AP and Telangana), LG India, said the company has posted an impressive sales growth of 35 per cent across all categories and expressed confidence in increasing the marketshare further.
