When Kareena Kapoor took charge

R. Balki’s ready-for-release rom-com Ki And Ka features Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor as a couple that’s completely comfortable in gender-reversed domestic roles. She goes out to work while he stays in and looks after the home. We hear that during the making of the film, it was Kareena who helped Arjun get the basics of his role right.

Says a source, “While Kareena was completely at ease with the wife’s part, Arjun was alien to the husband’s character. He had experienced none of pleasures and pains of domesticity that he was expected to express in the film.”

And that’s where Kareena stepped in. The source adds, “She would recall how Saif reacted to certain household situations, to give Arjun a lead and in turn prompt his reactions. Kareena’s Kia is a woman in charge in the film, and she completely took charge of not just her own role, but even of the scenes featuring interactions between her and Arjun.”
