When Akshay Kumar got suspended from school

Producer Rajesh Patil held the music launch of his Marathi movie Kaul Manacha, where Akshay Kumar and Dimple Kapadia presided over as chief guests. Akshay, who was in a jovial mood, revealed to the audience that he had been suspended from school after confessing his love for his Marathi teacher.

The trailer of the movie showed a few scenes of one of the child artistes having a crush on his teacher, looking at which, Akshay commented, “I think this little boy gets infatuated with his teacher.”

To the amused audience, Akshay recounted, “To give away a secret, I too fell for my Marathi teacher, when I was in school. I confessed to one of my classmates that I loved this particular teacher and that I would want to get married. And guess what, when my teacher found out, I was suspended from school for two days!”

When he realised he was standing next to Dimple, he joked, “As young boys, we do fall in love with our teachers. I want to tell you more, but I cannot reveal anything because my mom-in-law is right next to me.”

Not many know that producer Rajesh used to be Dimple’s make-up artist once upon a time. The veteran actress graced the occasion in order to boost his morale, thereby adding the glam quotient to it.
