The first half of the film was shot in Kerala and we zeroed in on Thailand for the second half. While we were thrilled about the schedules, what we didn’t anticipate was the language problem. There was a major communication gap with the locals during these schedules. There were days when we didn’t know how to go ahead with the shoot since we were relying on locals to help us out.

Then, the non-stop rains in Kerala added to our plight, but we used it to our advantage. We had a lot of rain sequences in the film, so we decided to shoot those scenes anyway. This came with another set of challenges — there was water entering the camera, the light sockets, and the actors kept slipping while shooting.

While we were shooting for the song, Sab Tera, in the middle of the ocean on a boat, there was a freak storm. We were stuck. There was no way we could move ahead, let alone go to the shore. While the storm lasted for 20 minutes, with the lighting and incessant pouring, it seemed like we were caught for a good hour.

In Bangkok, Thailand we had to shoot a chase sequence and we had just four days in the tiny lanes across the city. On the third day, Tiger Shroff’s toenail came off. Tiger was in so much pain that he couldn’t even put his foot down. I even considered recreating this sequence in Mumbai so that Tiger could also get some time off, to let his wound heal. But Tiger taped his foot and shot through the sequence. That was remarkable on Tiger’s part.

The team rehearsed the dance sequence for the song, Let’s Talk About Love, for days. At the last minute, I thought of having a turntable for the song and couldn’t understand why everyone was so apprehensive. I completely forgot that the team needed to rehearse on the turntable too! Shraddha had to dance in heels so it was quite a challenge for her.
