: Acclaimed Bengali actor Dhritiman Chatterjee, who has worked with filmmakers like Satyajit Ray and Mrinal Sen, criticised Bollywood star Anil Kapoor's jig on stage during the opening ceremony of the 46th International Film Festival of India. The 70-year-old actor said he fails to understand why Kapoor, who was the chief guest at the event, would do something like that at an international film festival platform. "IFFI is a government film festival, but it seems to be taking a different course. It is no longer about good cinema, it is more about entertainment. I feel very reluctant to say this, but the chief guest at the IFFI opening ceremony was dancing on stage," the "Black" actor said, while attending a press conference to extend his support to protesting FTII students here. Kapoor, who was invited as the chief guest during the IFFI inauguration on Friday, did an impromptu 'tapori' act on stage to popular songs filmed on him like "1 2 ka 4", and the raunchy number "Dhak Dhak" along with co-host Aditi Rao Hydari. Chatterjee also questioned the idea of celebrating cinema and culture in excessive police presence. "Section 144 is in force in Panaji. I have been associated with cinema for four decades and I have never seen such a surreal situation when a district magistrate says section 144 is imposed because a celebration of cinema is going on," Chatterjee said.
