Sushant Singh Rajput confirms break-up with Ankita Lokhande

The rumours of Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande parting ways came as a shock to fans earlier this year, especially since the two had publicly announced that they were going to tie the knot by the end of 2016.

For quite some time, we have been hearing reports about their personal differences, which were dismissed as just another lovers’ tiff.

On Wednesday however, Sushant took to Twitter to put an end to the speculation. He wrote, “Neither she was an alcoholic nor I am a womaniser. People do Grow apart & its unfortunate . Period!!” (sic)

The two started dating soon after they met on the sets of Pavitra Rishta in 2009. According to industry sources, problems started creeping in after Sushant’s fame catapulted on the big screen. There have been loud whispers about how Sushant’s proximity to his co-star Kriti Sanon may have been the reason for their break-up. Whatever the reason, we’re happy to see the man stand up for his former lady love after the break-up. Classy.
