Sharman to play a slum dweller

Sharman Joshi seems to be taking a cue from his 3 Idiots and Rang De Basanti co-star, Aamir Khan, when it comes to striving for perfection. In his next film, Allah Ke Banday, he plays a slum dweller, who gets involved in crime. Since the film is based on several real-life incidents, Sharman and his director-writer-co-star Faruk Kabir

did some serious research and planning for the film. Sharman elaborates, “The film traces the journey into adulthood of two slum kids who grow up in the dark alleys of the city. To prepare for the role, I visited slums. I also interacted with slum kids, one of whom is also a part of this film.”
