Marathi filmmaker Nagraj Manjule's latest film Sairat has turned out to be a blockbuster at the box office. So much so that not only has it attained the position of the highest grossing Marathi film ever, it is also competing neck-in-neck with big Bollywood productions. Sairat, a searing indictment of caste discrimination, features two absolutely unknown, untried faces in the lead. Made at a reported cost of Rs 4 crore, the film has already raked in over Rs 80 crore at the box office and is still playing to full houses. With the film making heads turn everywhere, including Bollywood, the makers recently organised a special screening for the B-town fraternity. The screening saw Bollywood celebrities turn up in full attendance.

Director Karan Johar, who was present as well, later raved about the movie on Twitter. Among those who made an early appearance were actors Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan. Also present at the screening were Saif Ali Khan’s daughter Sara Khan, Ranbir Kapoor and his good friend Aditya Roy Kapur.
