No vulgar jokes, Kiran Rao throws a 'clean' birthday bash for Aamir Khan

Aamir Khan, the first of the three Khans to turn 50, celebrated his birthday on Saturday. The actor was in for a surprise, as his doting wife Kiran Rao put together a surprise bash in Lonavala, to celebrate this milestone. Aamir revealed earlier that he wasn’t aware of what was going to happen, all he knew was that Kiran invited some of his old school friends and many other close friends from the industry.

According to reports, the party was a ‘true family celebration’ with everything arranged by Kiran Rao a week in advance. Junaid, Ira and Azad put up a special play which they enacted in front of all the guests.

Apart from the famous names like Anil Kapoor, comedian Raju Srivastav, Karan Johar, Kunal Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Mukesh and Nita Ambani, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Ayan Mukerji, Kiran also invited some of Aamir’s childhood friends.

Guests took turns and gave emotional speeches about Aamir Khan. Anil Kapoor, who knows the birthday boy for over 3 decades was almost in tears. Stand up comedian Raju Srivastav was assigned the task to entertain the guests, but with 'clean' jokes. Aamir had a strong opinion on the vulgar jokes cracked by AIB on their youtube show 'The AIB Knockout'. At an event he had said, "My opinion is that it was a violent show. Karan (Johar) and Arjun (Kapoor) are my friends and I scolded them and told them that I was not impressed with it."

After all the emotional speeches, the guests let their hair down on the dance floor.

On the work front, Aamir is gearing up for his next project ‘Dangal’, where he will essay the role of a wrestler. The film will go on floors in September.
