Malaika Arora Khan, designer Surily Goel’s muse was supposed to walk the ramp for her, but her last minute commitment to designer Mandira Wirk prevented her from showing up at Surily’s show. Instead of giving Surily the option of finding a replacement, Malaika convinced the designer that her sister Amrita would be the perfect second choice. Surily ultimately made Amrita drape

her ‘Cheetah’ outfit. Amrita, who has nothing much happening on the work front, merrily filled in for her sister and enjoyed all the attention that comes with being a show stopper. We clarified with Surily, who said, “Amrita was always supposed to be my showstopper. In fact she had committed to me three weeks ago. Malaika had already committed to Mandira in ad-vance. So Amrita was not a last-minute replacement.”
