It’s official! Padmavati stars Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor

With a brigade of supremely talented actors, the film is surely something to look forward to.

: After a lot of speculations, the makers of ‘Padmavati’ have finally made the official news. Yes, the fans will get to see Shahid Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone share the screen space in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magum opus ‘Padmavati’.

The makers put the rumours related to film's star cast to rest for once and all by making an official statement online on Tweet. Viacom 18 movies’ CEO Sudhanshu Vats wrote on Twitter, “With @deepikapadukone, @RanveerOfficial & @shahidkapoor in the lead, we are surely excited about @RealPadmavati.”

The titular character in ‘Padmavati’ will be played by Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. Shahid Kapoor will also be seen playing a crucial role in the movie. The film, which will go on floors by the end of the year, is scheduled to hit the silver screens in 2017.

Known for portraying tragic love stories on celluloid, Bhansali this time has tried his hands on an anti-hero project as it is based on ruthless ruler Alauddin Khilji's obsession for Mewar queen Padmavati.

The work on film’s set began few months ago. The team has built up a colossal set for the film at Mehboob Studios, Mumbai.

With a brigade of supremely talented actors teaming up with an excellent director, the film is surely something to look forward to.
