Bollywood to bat for Modi

Certain sections of the media recently reported that on May 26, to celebrate two years of PM Narendra Modi’s government, the three Khan superstars—Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir—are expected to attend an event organised at the India Gate in Delhi.

Sources close to the Ministry Of Information and Broadcasting however, say that the attendance is not confirmed. “Yes, invitations to attend the function have been extended to a whole lot of A-listers in Bollywood including Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgan, Kajol, Anil Kapoor, Shekhar Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Madhuri Dixit and the three Khans, but they have not confirmed their presence yet,” says the source.

Is it safe to assume that one wouldn’t turn down an invitation from the PMO

“True,” says the I &B source adding, “But some of them are engaged elsewhere. We hear Salman Khan andAamir Khan would be shooting for their film at the time, so to say that all those invited will be present at the function is premature.”
