Arjun Kapoor to play a double role in Mubaraka

His last outing with a double role (Atul Sabharwal’s Aurangzeb) might not have worked magic on the box office. But actor Arjun Kapoor hasn’t lost faith in the all-too-familiar Bollywood trope. He will once again be playing a double role in Aneez Bazmee’s Mubaraka.

While most of his contemporaries are yet to experiment with the concept, this will already be a second double role for Arjun, who is still in the early stages of his career. Apart from the double role, a major highlight of the film will be that it will bring real-life uncle-nephew, Anil Kapoor and Arjun, together on the screen for the first time and the duo will reprise their real life relationship of chacha-bhatija in the movie as well.

Says a source close to the project, “Arjun is cast in a double role in Mubaraka. The characters aren’t brothers this time, like they were in Aurangzeb. One of the roles he plays will see him as Anil’s nephew, while the other will be completely unrelated.”
