Ajay Devgn's production Parched to release on September 23

Mumbai: Ajay Devgn has announced the domestic release date of his upcoming production ‘Parched’. The film, which had recently got itself mired in a huge controversy after nude scenes of lead actress Radhika Apte from the film were leaked online, has already been a critical success internationally, with multiple awards in its kitty.

Ajay, who also is gearing up for the grand release of his ambitious self-starring directorial ‘Shivaay,’ also divulged that the trailer of the film will be released on September 9. ‘Parched,’ directed by Leena Yadav, who also had directed the Sanjay Dutt- Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer ‘Shabd,’ will release on 23 September.

Ajay Devgn, who himself got embroiled in an ugly controversy involving Karan Johar, who’s helming ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and self styled actor-film critic Kamaal R. Khan, over 'Shivaay's scheduled titanic clash with Karan's Ranbir Kapoor-Aishwarya Rai Bachchan-Anushka Sharma starrer 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil,' seems to be a content man with the international response to ‘Parched’ being unanimously positive and the hype and anticipation surrounding ‘Shivaay’ being mind-blowing.

Ajay took to his Twitter and Facebook feeds to announce the arrival of the film.\
