LG Launches Ten 2018 OLED & SUPER UHD TVs With AI Features

The company has introduced around ten new models in the OLED TV range and the Super Ultra HD range.

Each model in the 2018 lineup of LG's OLED TVs boasts a range of design factors from Picture-on-Wall, One Glass Screen, Picture-on-Glass and Cinema Screen design.

LG Electronics has unveiled its 2018 series of OLED and Super Ultra HD TVs at an event in South Korea with LG's ThinQ Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology and the company's α (Alpha) processor. The company has introduced a total of ten new models in the OLED TV range including the LG W8, G8, E8, C8, and B8. Whereas, nine new models in the Super Ultra HD range have been unveiled, including SK80, SK85, and SK95.

Each model in the 2018 lineup of LG's OLED TVs boasts a range of design factors — Picture-on-Wall, One Glass Screen, Picture-on-Glass and Cinema Screen design. The company says that the Alpha processor allows the OLED TVs to deliver better image rendering and colour reproduction with enhanced viewing angles. Furthermore, the TVs also feature Dolby Atmos sound technology.

LG 2018 AI-enabled SUPER UHD line-up

The SUHD TV variants come with an LCD display that has features such as Nano cell, and FALD backlighting and come with Dolby Atmos audio technology. Screen sizes vary from 49 inches all the way up to 77 inches.

The company says that with AI functionality embedded in the sets, LG TV viewers can speak directly into the remote control to enjoy the ultra-convenient features of the latest advanced voice assistant technology. LG ThinQ TVs can access other smart home products such as robotic vacuum cleaners, air conditioners/purifiers, smart lights, smart speakers and many other devices that connect to the TV via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Moreover, LG's proprietary Natural Language Processing (NLP) will soon be available in 14 countries including Brazil, US, UK, Australia and Canada.
