In the girls doubles, top seeded Shruti Ahlawat/Maliksha Kuramu ousted Nirali Padniya and Saumya Ronde 6-0, 6-1 to claim the title.

Pune boy Manas Dhamne and Delhi girl Tejaswi Dabas emerged champions in the boys and girls’ section at the 12th Ramesh Desai Memorial Sub-Junior Tennis Nationals for boys and girls under 12, which was hosted by the Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA) at the GA Ranade Tennis Complex.

In the boys’ under-12, fourth seeded Manas Dhamne of Pune, Maharashtra used good court craft to oust Rohan Agarwal of West Bengal 6-2, 6-4 to win the title.

In the girls’ under-12 finals, sixth seeded Tejaswi Dabas  outplayed third seeded Chandni Srinivasan Of Gujarat 6-0, 6-1 to lift the girls’ singles title. Harsh Fogaat and Rushil Khosla, the topseeds, struggled to get past Manas Dhamne and Pranav Rethin 7-6(4), 2-6, 10-4 to claim the doubles title.

In the girls doubles, top seeded Shruti Ahlawat/Maliksha Kuramu ousted Nirali Padniya and Saumya Ronde 6-0, 6-1 to claim the title.

The prizes were given away by Dr Jurgen Morhard, Consul General of Germany, and Petra Morhard, President of MSLTA, Bharat Oza and Sunder Iyer, secretary, MSLTA.
