Aditya Jagtap won the PSA challenger tour event, Bourbon Trail in the USA. Jagtap defeated Andrew Schnell of Canada over five games 12-10,4-11, 7-11,11-8, 11-6 in the final held late on Saturday. This was third PSA title for Mumbai based 26-year-old professional squash player.

Jagtap who was world no 120 had almost pulled off a shock in the CCI international, a major PSA World tour event in Mumbai early this month. He was two games up against World No.51 Karim El Hammamy in the first round. However, the Egyptian battled back to go through, winning a thriller in five sets and sending Jagtap out of the tournament at home.

But in US, the third seeded Indian went through the early rounds with ease before coming face to face with the third seed Schnell for the title match. It was not easy, particularly after he slipped to a game in arrears. But giving in his best and ensuring he returned everying thrown at him, Jagtap clawed back and what is more put it across the rival in the deciding fifth game to clinch his third career PSA title. The success should help him get into the top 100 in PSA rankings.
