Loukic, Hamehr win Junior Billiards and Snooker titles

The Chembur Gym cueist Loukic comfortably won all the three round-robin league matches in the billiards event to finish in pole position.

Loukic Pathare of Chembur Gymkhana and Khar Gymkhana’s Harmehr Mago emerged champions, winning the Junior Billiards and Junior Snooker titles respectively in the Khar Gymkhana-Maharashtra State Selection Tournament 2017, organised by Billiards and Snooker Association of Maharashtra and played at the Khar Gym billiards hall.

The Chembur Gym cueist Loukic comfortably won all the three round-robin league matches in the billiards event to finish in pole position. Kreishh Gurbaxani of Khar Gym finished with two wins and claimed the second position. Meanwhile, Harmehr Mago, also had a good run winning all his three matches and finished at the top of the four-player round-robin league in the snooker competition, while Rayaan Razmi of Radio Club took the second spot with two wins.

Loukic and Kreishh in billiards and Hamehr and Rayaan in snooker, will represent Maharashtra in the Junior National Championships to be conducted by KSBA in Bengaluru from December 1 to 10, 2017.

There was joy for Kreishh as he went on to win the Sub-Junior Snooker title. In the final, Kreishh defeated his compatriot Sumehr Mago by three frames to one to finish as the top sub-junior snooker player in the state.
