New Delhi: Delhi Dynamos suffered their fourth consecutive defeat of the ongoing Indian Super League season and a third at home in as many matches with a 1-5 thrashing at the hands of FC Goa here on Saturday.

Goa leapfrogged Bengaluru to claim the top spot in the standings after the victory.

Ferran Corominas (45+1 minutes) and Manuel Lanzarote (45+2’) scored once each before half-time for the visitors.

An own-goal from Pritam Kotal (84th) and a strike each by Manuel Arana (85th) and Adrian Colunga (88th) completed Goa’s dominant victory over a 10-man Delhi for whom Gabriel Cichero was sent-off in the 65th minute.

Things took a turn for the worse for Delhi after Cichero received his second yellow card. Goa started to gain control of possession and though Delhi showed belly for a fight, their resolve was eventually broken once they started to tire. Goa scored three quick-fire goals in the space of four minutes to inflict misery on the hosts.

Dynamos remain just above wooden-spooners ATK in the standings and have some serious thinking to do before their next match if they are to revive their campaign.
