Mumbai: Pakistan Cricket Board’s chairman Nazam Sethi has tendered his resignation to new Prime Minister Imran Khan.
His resignation dated to-day has come within two days after former captain and the 1992 World Cup winning captain Imran Khan was sworn in as the new Prime Minister of the country.
“I believe I have served the cause of cricket diligently.
“In order to facilitate your objectives in the interest of Pakistan cricket, I hereby submit my resignation of chairman of PCB and member of its BoG,” he wrote in his letter.
Former International Cricket Council chief Ehsan Mani, now a board member of Imran Khan’s hospital, is one of the strong candidates to take over.
