New Delhi: Expressing her excitement about the upcoming multi-starrer film 'Kalank', Sonakshi Sinha gushed that just to be a part of the period-drama is "surreal."

The 'Dabangg' star further stated that the entire star cast, which comprises of Madhuri Dixit, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Kunal Kemmu, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Sanjay Dutt, will appear in roles they haven't portrayed before.

"Kalank is a period film in which the star cast is stellar," she told Hello Magazine, adding, "I have a challenging role and the story is incredible! Just to be a part of the film is surreal. Everyone in the film is playing a role you haven't seen them in before so it will be a treat for audiences. I'm very excited about it!"

While talking about the festival of lights and what it means to her family, the actor said that Diwali puja is a time when the entire family comes together.

"It is a special time, during which we all come together no matter what we have going on in our lives, it is a time to pray, and be thankful, and to celebrate one another," she said.
