Mumbai: The Mumbai traffic police registered 725 drunken driving cases, 166 rash driving case and 430 overspeeding cases on Thursday. Police deployment had been increased in the city in view of Holi revelry.

Meanwhile, some 27 people were admitted to government hospitals in Mumbai after suffering various injuries while celebrating Holi. GT Hospital registered 12 males with minor injuries while JJ Hospital registered three cases. Nair Hospital registered 13 patients on Thursday, of which five were admitted to the surgical section, two orthopaedic and two ophthalmology sections.
