Mumbai: The Congress’ state unit will finalise its probable candidates by January 24 as the district party committee of each parliamentary seat had been directed to hand over the list as soon as possible. One seat may have three names of interested candidates at the most and, based on the ground report, the central leadership will take final call.

The names of interested candidates from the city’s five seats are presently being discussed at the district level.
