MHADA to declare lottery for 6,000 houses before LS poll

The lottery for nearly 7,000 homes will be announced within a few days.

Mumbai: The Mumbai Housing Development Authority (Mhada) will declare a lottery for 6,000 houses in Maharashtra before the code of conduct for the Lok Sabha election comes into effect. Mhada president Uday Samant announced about the lottery at his office Wednesday. There will be 238 homes from the Mumbai Board.

Samant told the press, “This lottery will include homes from Pune, Nashik, Aurangabad and the Mumbai Board. The lottery will include 238 homes with 108 commercial blocks in Mumbai.”

These homes are available at Sahakar Nagar (Chembur), near Juhu Vile Parle Development (JVPD) Scheme (Andheri), Azad Nagar (Andheri), Prabhadevi Nagar (Worli), Aadarsh Nagar (Worli), Lokmanya Nagar (Worli), Shivaji Nagar (Worli), and Tardeo. A majority of the homes are in Chembur. A hundred-and-seventy homes will be available in Chembur, 17 in Andheri, and four in Worli. However, there is only one home at Tardeo.

The lottery for nearly 7,000 homes will be announced within a few days. Those dreaming of buying a home in Pune have a big opportunity in this lottery as there are 4,664 homes available.

There are 1,183 homes in Nashik and 917 homes in Aurangabad. The Aurangabad lottery will be announced after the poll code of conduct is declared. A big lottery for the Konkan region for 9,000 houses will be announced after the election. Also, the house rates for Tunga Powai will be reduced.
