Doctor mows down minor in Pitampura

New Delhi: A city-based doctor was arrested by the police and was later let-off on bail after he was arrested for allegedly mowing down a 10-year-old minor while she was crossing the road with her mother in Pitampura on the Friday evening.

The deceased minor has been identified as Khushboo, daughter of Arjun and Guddia. While Arjun works as a labour, Guddia works as a domestic help. The family was living in Pitampura village. The accused doctor has been identified as Rohit Singhla.

The police said that the accused doctor, who was allegedly found driving his Creta car in a rash and negligent manner after mowing down the minor girl, tried to flee when the mother began shouting and alerted the passersby, who caught him.

The accident took place at Shivaji Market in Rani Bagh area. The doctor with the help of passersby put the girl in her car and took her to the hospital, where she was declared brought dead.
