Disrupted the proceedings of the legislative assembly on second day.

Opposition demanded loan waiver and relief to cotton growers.

Nagpur: As anticipated the proceedings of the state legislative assembly on the second day failed to transact much business amidst uproarious scenes on the floor of the house.

The entire Opposition demanded loan waiver and relief to cotton growers who suffered extensive damages following pink bol worm. Several Opposition members shouted slogans and entered the well of the House.

Deputy leader Vijay Wadettiwar, Gopal Agaral Abdus Sattar,  Shashikant Shinde, Jitendra Aawahad and others were on the forefront.

The house was adjourned initially for 10 minutes when it assembled for the second day as speaker Haribhau Bagade called the first question, which could not be heard. The second adjournment came immediately as panel speaker Yogesh Sagar found the environment not conducive of conducting the business.

The third adjournment was for 16 minutes which coincide with expiry of question hour duration. Again when assembled, panel speaker adjourned the house for the day.
