New Delhi: Left-wing student organisation AISA on Wednesday alleged that ABVP members harassed and abused its Delhi University unit president Kawalpreet Kaur in Satyawati College.

“It was in the evening when DU AISA president Kawalpreet Kaur was visiting the college to meet AISA students of Satyawati College. She was restrained physically by almost 20 students who asked her to move out on the pretext that she was an anti-national,” AISA said in a release.

Ms Kaur has filed a police complaint against Vikram Singh Tomar, ABVP convenor of Satyawati College, Dharamprakash, Adw-ait Sharma, Mantu Sharma and few unknown activists.

Kawalpreet Kaur said in her complaint, “I reached the college around 4.30 when I found myself surrounded by around 20 people who asked me the reason of coming to Satyawati College. Then they started shooting my video and abused me raising questions on my character and nationality. They even called me “anti-national slut.”

“I believe that every student of DU is free to move to anywhere without being harassed. Such instances of harassment attempt to terrorise the entire student community,” she added.
