Delhi: 4 women among 46 police medal winners

The trophy of Best Police Station was bagged by P.S. KN Katju , while PS Malviya Nagar and PS Khayala ended up I and II runners-up.

New Delhi: Altogether 46 Delhi police cops were decorated with the police medals during the 72nd Delhi Police Raising Day ceremony on Saturday.

Delhi L-G Anil Baijal conferred the medals on the police personnel for gallantry, President’s medal for distinguished service, and police medal for meritorious service.

DCP (special cell) Sanjeev Kumar Yadav along with ACPs Lalit Mohan Negi, Hridaya Bhushan, Ramesh Chander Lamba and Attar Singh; Inspectors Rajinder Kumar, Ravinder Kumar Tyagi, and sub-inspector Sukhbir Singh were awarded with the police medal for gallantry.

President’s police medal for distinguished service were conferred on Spl. CP Satish Golchha, Addl. CP Kamal Kant Vyas, and ACPs Surender Kumar Dahiya, Rajender Singh Yadav and Sandeep Pali.

Police medal for meritorious service were conferred on Addl. CP Amarendra Kumar Singh, DCPs Rajveer Singh Chauhan, Asif Mohd. Ali, Sanjay Bhatia, Dinesh Kumar Gupta; Addl DCPs Varsha Sharma, Rajendra Singh Sagar; ACPs Shashi Bala, Birjender Singh Rai and Sanjay Dutt.

Inspectors Sandeep Malhotra, Som Nath Paruthi, Raj Kumar, Krishan Prakash, Suresh Maskeen, Vijay Kumar Singh, Survesh Kumar; SI Moti Lal, and ASIs Jitender Dogra, Ram Kishan, HC Kishan Chand, Dev Kumar, Subhash Kumar, Ranbir Singh, Satish Kumar, Rajneesh Tyagi, Rambir Singh, Jai Bhagwan and Gajender Singh were also awarded with the police medal for meritorious service.

Four women cops, SIs Anita Kalia and Nirmal Kumari; ASIs Rajni Malik and HC Anju Sandhya Minj were also awarded with the medal for meritorious service. The trophy of Best Police Station was bagged by P.S. KN Katju , while PS Malviya Nagar and PS Khayala ended up I and II runners-up.
