The city police said that most of these activities are now shifting to spas and three-star hotels in the city.

Gurgaon: With the arrest of 10 people, including seven women, the Gurgaon police claimed to have busted yet another sex racket being operated from a spa in the millennium city.

“We got a tip-off around 6 pm about a sex racket being run from Aura Day Spa in DLF-1. A policeman was sent to the spa as a decoy customer, who first met a woman at the reception and finalised the deal after giving her Rs 2,000 that was marked by the police team. He was then allowed to go inside the spa, where he again had to pay another woman Rs 2,000. This note was also marked by the cops,” said a senior Gurgaon police official

After receiving a signal from the ‘customer,’ a police team conducted the raid and nabbed the people inside the spa. The two notes were also recovered.

“We raided the spa and arrested 10 people, including the manager,” said the official.

An FIR under relevant sections of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act was registered at DLF-1 police station. A hunt is on to nab the spa owner.

The city police said that most of these activities are now shifting to spas and three-star hotels in the city.

Sources in the police also indicated that fearing increased raids, most kingpins of such rackets are now planning to shift their bases to the outer areas of the city like Manesar, Sohna, and Bhiwadi. “To curb the sex rackets operating in the city is a major challenge for the law enforcement agencies. The sex racket operators have a wide network and do not operate from one specific place. We have been taking action against these units based on the tip-offs we get from our sources,” said a senior official of Gurgaon police.
