Man shoots friend to death in Rohini area

New Delhi: A 32-year-old man was allegedly shot dead by his friend in Rohini district early on Sunday, the policfe said.

The deceased, Yoginder Yadav, was found dead inside his friend’s flat with bullet injury in Sector 18 area of Rohini. The police said that the accused surrendered at the police station after allegedly killing his friend. The pistol used in the crime has been recovered.

According to the police, deceased Yadav ran a call centre. He had lent money to accused Vijay Yadav, who owns food joints.

“On Saturday night, the accused, along with Yoginder and several other friends, was having alcohol at his flat. At around 11.30 pm, all the others left except Yogi-nder. Subsequently, the two continued to have their drinks,” a senior officer said.

“The two got into a scuffle. Vijay took out his pistol and fired at Yoginder. Later, he went to the police station and informed that he had murdered his friend,” he added.
