Dalit body wants arrest of those responsible for death

New Delhi: A dalit rights body has sought immediate arrest of those responsible for the death of five labourers due to asphyxiation at a sewage treatment plant in West Delhi’s Moti Nagar area.

The secretary of Dalit Shoshan Mukti Manch, Nathu Prasad, also demanded from the Delhi government Rs 1 crore compensation for the victims’ families and a government job to a family member.

He also urged the city government to conduct a survey across Delhi to find out about such practices being carried out.
