This rainy season, liven up your interiors with some quick tips to make your home vibrant.

Use sheers and solid curtains

Monsoon calls for a face-lift for your interiors. But, that doesn’t mean you have to spend big bucks in the pursuit of comfort. Just a few smart tips will do the needful, without burning a hole in your pocket.

Bedside rugs can be placed on sides of the bed, usually the size which is the length of the bed with a breath that is no more than 1.5-2 feet.

For bathrooms, pick a colour theme, blues and greens go well with light coloured walls. But if you have dark colours, black tiles etc, go with greys and more neutral tones.

In bathroom, use the three rug rule. One for the shower, one for the commode (there are special designed rugs for commodes), and one for the wash basin unit.

For the monsoon, sea blue is a very hot colour to spark up the interiors.

Candles add warmth to any interior. Get some gilded candle stands or even hanging ones.

Lighting is key. Natural lighting is affected due to cloudy skies on most days, so ensure you have enough artificial light. Add beautiful hand-painted lamp stands and shades to the dark corners of your home, use double visual effects with the help of mirrors.

Use sheer curtains. Stay away from solids. Use the dual curtain method, either two rods with sheer and solid. Or alternate the sheer and solid curtains so that you can pull in the solids in the evening time, and it won’t affect the privacy of your home.
