The Mysuru Literary Forum and Charitable Trust and Mysuru book clubs are hosting this year’s festival in a virtual series on weekends

One of the  major annual features of Mysuru, the much awaited Mysuru Literature Festival will be a virtual event this year owing to the Covid situation.

The Mysuru Literary Forum and Charitable Trust and Mysuru book clubs are hosting this year’s festival  in the form of a virtual series on weekends from 14 August to 8 September.

As many as 24 authors and artists will speak on 10 topics. Venu Rajamony, Ambassador to Netherlands will be part of the fest. And several noted international authors from other countries who will be part of the fest include Preeta Samarasan from France, Sohan Kamal from Atlanta Georgia, Tania James from Washington DC, United States, Mona Kareem from Princeton, New Jercy, Deepak Unni Krishnan from Abudhabi, Amish Tripathi, London, UK and V V Ganeshananthan Minnesota.

And several experts and authors from across the country from New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru and Mysuru who will be part of the fest include Vikram Kirloskar, Amjad Ali Khan, Nandita Das, Sagarika Ghose, Shobha Narayan, Nitin Pai, Dharmendra Kumar, Kavitha Lankesh, Rohini Mohan, Shashidhar Nanjundaiah, Vasudhendra, Andaleeb Wajid, Krupa Ge, Roopa Pai, Aroon Raman and Shashidhar Nanjundaiah.

And they are discussing on a varied range of 10 topics from “writers on their beginnings” to “times in new age”, “the dialects of oil and rain”, “turning diplomatic experience into chronicles”, “Tejo-Tungabhadra-history of a common man” and others.

Mysuru Literature festival is curated by Shubha Sanjay Urs, Chairperson of the Mysuru Literary Forum  Charitable Trust.

Every year, the fest used to be a two day event packed with feast of thought provoking discussions by noted authors and experts who descended to Mysuru.
