According to study, marijuana makes men feel lazy and chilled out, an effect that goes on to include their sperm as well.

Men, smoking marijuana may spell doom for your progeny. A new study now claims that men who smoke too much weed could face fertility problems because the drug makes sperm ‘mellow; and ‘swim in circles’.

Seems sperms are prone to the effects of weed as well!

According to the study, cannabis tend to leave users feeling chilled out and relaxed but apparently it has the same effect on sperm as well and regular smoking can cut counts of the cells by as much as a third.

Lead author of the study, Dr Victor Chow of the University of British Columbia in Canada said that the weight of the evidence is that marijuana probably has a negative impact not only for sperm counts but sperm function as well.

Previous studies have shown that marijuana can affect fertility by cutting sperm count and suppressing ovulation in women as well.

However, fertility problems are not the only danger of smoking caabis. The drug can increase the heart rate and affect blood pressure - while increasing the risk of a pregnant woman's baby being born smaller than expected.
