The suspect had the habit of teasing girl students of his class and college.

Chandigarh: A college lecturer has been shot dead in Sonepat by an student of the same college. The incident happened in the college premises. The youth entered Government College Kharkhouda and shot the professor dead. The victim, Rajesh Malik was sitting in the staff room, adjacent the Principal’s room, and working on his computer when the incident took place. The accused who is a student of the same college entered the staff room and shot three bullets at him. The police is investigating the matter. A case has been registered by the police. The incident took place within a month of a school Principal’s murder in Yamunanagar by a student of the school.

According to SHO, Kharkhoda,  Wazir Singh, during investigation it has come to light that the suspect is a student of the same college and resident of a village, Rohna, in the same district. The suspect had the habit of teasing girl students of his class and college.

“The college teacher (Malik) on many occasions had asked the (suspect) student not to tease fellow girl students. He has been repeatedly been asking him to refrain from same,” the SHO said.
