Bhubaneswar: Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) has called for Odisha bandh on Wednesday to protest the death of Kunduli “gangrape” victim.

Informing about the decision, OPCC president Prasad Harichandan said that the party will observe a 12-hour bandh across the state on Wednesday from 6 am to 6 pm.

He has appealed to the people of Odisha for their cooperation in making the bandh a success. Moreover, Mr Hari-chandan has demanded the resignation of chief minister Naveen Patnaik over the issue. He has also asked for strict action against all the culprits in the case.

“We call for a 12-hour Odisha bandh on January 24, 2018, from 6 am to 6 pm, holding the government solely responsible for the distressing #KunduliGang Rape tragedy,” the official Twitter handle of the Odisha Congress tweeted.
