Veteran actor Anupam Kher has stunned everyone with his uncanny resemblance to former prime minister Manmohan Singh in the biopic on him. The actor, however, says this is the most difficult role he has ever played.

“We have finished 40 per cent of the shoot so far and I have studied the character of Manmohan Singh for four months. It has been my toughest role. You all will see the film soon,” he says.

The Manmohan Singh biopic titled The Accidental Prime Minister, featuring Anupam Kher, has been making headlines for quite some time now. The Accidental Prime Minister is a political drama that traces the making and unmaking of Singh.

Meanwhile, Anupam has reacted to Saroj Khan’s remarks on the casting couch, which made headlines on Tuesday. He says, “I think she has apologised. It was a ridiculous remark to make. It is very important to respect women but it was her point of view. I think we should just leave it here.”
